Dr. Yuksel Aydin received his medical degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Florida. He is currently a second-year Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. His research at the Safar Center for Resuscitation Research focuses on elucidating the mechanisms of neuronal injury and repair following asphyxial cardiac arrest in immature animal models. Specifically, his work investigates novel therapeutic strategies aimed at improving neuronal survival and functional recovery after cardiac arrest.
