Michelle Mayeda, MD, is an attending physician in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She received her medical degree from the University of Washington, completed her pediatrics residency at the University of Colorado, and trained in pediatric critical care medicine as a fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Her academic interests focus on improving the patient–family experience with an emphasis on inclusivity, particularly in supporting families who prefer languages other than English or families who may be unable to be physically present at the bedside.
