Dr. Maha Assadoon is a Board-Certified Critical Care and Pharmacotherapy Specialist currently serving as a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist at KAMC. She also contributes to clinical education as a preceptor for pharmacy residents and students. With extensive experience across tertiary academic hospitals in the United States and Saudi Arabia, she specializes in optimizing pharmacotherapy for critically ill and complex patient populations across diverse intensive care units.
Dr. Assadoon earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and completed both Post-Graduate Year One (PGY-1) and Critical Care Post-Graduate Year Two (PGY-2) pharmacy residencies at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) in Boston, Massachusetts. Her professional interests include critical care pharmacotherapy, pharmacokinetics, and data analysis.
She is actively engaged in scholarly work, with peer-reviewed publications in leading journals such as Journal of Intensive Care Medicine, BMC Pulmonary Medicine, and Open Forum Infectious Diseases. Dr. Assadoon also serves as a manuscript reviewer for several international journals and has presented her research at national and international conferences.
Through her dedication to evidence-based practice, teaching, and clinical research, she continues to contribute to the growth of critical care pharmacy practice locally and internationally.
