Fai A. Albuainain is a Registered Respiratory Therapist and faculty member in the Respiratory Care Department at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Clinical Translational Science at Case Western Reserve University, where her research advances the fields of aerosol medicine, mechanical ventilation, and high-flow oxygen therapy.
Albuainain has established a robust publication record in Respiratory Care, Critical Care Medicine and the European Respiratory Review. Her scholarly contributions have been recognized through prestigious honors, including the 2025 AARC Young Investigator Award and the 2023 Rush University Research Excellence Award.
Albuainain maintains active professional engagement as a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC), American Thoracic Society (ATS), CHEST, the Saudi Society for Respiratory Care, and the International Society of Aerosol Medicine. She also serves as a peer reviewer for leading journals in respiratory medicine.
