I am a physician-scientist trained in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, dedicated to reducing morbidity and mortality in critically ill patients. My clinical and research efforts focus on improving treatment strategies for coagulopathy in critical illness, particularly sepsis-induced coagulopathy (SIC).My current translational research focuses on how abnormalities in clot structure and function, driven by immune dysregulation, contribute to morbidity in critical illness. Using ex vivo and translational approaches, I investigate how clot formation, breakdown, porosity, and permeability relate to inflammatory signatures in sepsis.
