I am Armando Reyes Yparraguirre, M.D., a third year Internal Medicine resident at the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine exploring a career in pulmonary and critical care medicine. My path began more than a decade ago as a physician in Peru and has evolved into work that combines clinical care with procedural training and research. I am particularly interested in respiratory physiology and the deeper questions of how tissues and cells use oxygen, although I am still actively exploring specific areas of focus. I am going to build an academic career in pulmonary and critical care and I will do my very best to contribute meaningfully to the field through patient care, scientific inquiry, and mentorship.
