Paula Caporal, MD, MPH, is a pediatric critical care physician and public health specialist, currently serving as an Associate Research Scientist with the International Injury Research Unit at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Dr. Caporal has more than a decade of clinical experience in pediatric tertiary care and extensive expertise in global child health, research, and health policy. She has led and coordinated large multicountry research initiatives across Latin America, Asia, and Africa. She has also served as a consultant for PAHO/WHO, contributing to regional strategies to strengthen comprehensive child and adolescent health care and participating in the development of national pediatric health protocols in Argentina
