He is passionate about applying SCCM-endorsed protocols, such as the PADIS guidelines and A-F bundle, to reduce delirium and improve patient outcomes in critical care settings.
Outside of clinical medicine, Dr. Abid is committed to advancing medical education and has helped develop resident-facing educational materials and QI training modules. His long-term goals include pursuing a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, followed by sub-specialization in Interventional Pulmonology, with continued involvement in academic medicine and hospital leadership.
In his free time, he enjoys cross fit, gaming, swimming, carpentry, and exploring emerging technologies. He brings a collaborative and systems-oriented mindset to his work and is honored to present his work at the SCCM Congress.
