Ashley M. Nyitray, MD is a third year pediatric critical care fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University/ Children's Hospital of Richmond. She completed medical school at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute in May of 2020 where she completed research on Tumor Associated Epilepsy in the Developing Brain. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Prisma Health Midlands/ University of South Carolina School of Medicine where she worked on quality improvement initiatives related to gun safety and research related to decreasing pediatric floor to ICU transfers through resident triage education. Currently, she is working in the lab of Dr. Alia O'Meara on multidrug sedation and delirium in the developing brain. She will be completing a Cardiac Critical Care Instructorship at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston after her graduation in 2026.
