Blythe Pollack is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She brings advanced clinical expertise to the care of critically ill children, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patients and families complex medical challenges.
Currently, Blythe is pursuing a PhD in Nursing at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. Her research investigates the intersection of community resources and the regionalization of pediatric specialties, focusing on the effect these factors have on pre-hospital care and the transition following PICU discharge. Blythe is particularly interested in how community education and geographic location influence patient outcomes, healthcare access, and the effectiveness of specialized pediatric care delivery. Her goal is to identify strategies that improve continuity and quality of care across the pediatric health continuum.
Through her work, Blythe aims to inform policymakers and healthcare leaders on best practices for regionalized pediatric critical care, and to help shape systems prioritizing equitable, patient-centered care for children with complex health needs. She is dedicated to advancing research, education, and clinical practice to drive meaningful improvements in pediatric critical care.
