Sara Olney is a critical care nurse with over a decade of clinical experience, including approximately seven years in the intensive care unit. She has spent the past two years in research, building on her bedside expertise to advance evidence-based care in critically ill populations. Sara has completed post-baccalaureate premedical coursework and is applying to medical school in 2026. Her primary research interest is acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). She is a member of the PREcision VENTilation to attenuate Ventilation-Induced Lung Injury (PREVENT VILI) Coordinating Center and has participated in the INSPiRE-ICU trial, contributing to multicenter efforts to improve outcomes for mechanically ventilated patients.
