Emily Upham, BS, is a clinical research assistant with the Medical Critical Care Division at Boston Children's Hospital. In this role, she supports a broad portfolio of research activities within the Pediatric Serious Illness Care and Communication Lab, contributing to study design, implementation, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and dissemination of findings. Emily’s research interests include palliative-care–focused studies aimed at enhancing the quality of supportive care for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. She is deeply committed to advancing compassionate, family-centered care in the pediatric intensive care setting and promoting equity for patients and families in the healthcare system.
