Children's Hospital of Philadelphia - University of Pennsylvania
Steven Ham, MD, MPH, is a second-year pediatric critical care medicine fellow at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. His research explores the intersection of inflammation and endotheliopathy to improve outcomes for children with sepsis. He is integrating high-dimensional multi-omic data with mechanistically oriented in vitro endothelial models to advance this work. With the support of a multidisciplinary team of mentors, he will complete these experiments during a T32-funded research year before applying for a faculty position. He hopes that this pre-clinical work will identify targetable immune pathways to promote a precision medicine approach to sepsis. Outside of medicine, Steven enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, running, and golfing.
