As Vice President of Product Management at Baxter Healthcare, Benassi has managed the software business through multiple evolutions. This includes having managed a $300M+ P&L and more than 40 team members, acting as the second-highest-ranking executive across a 4,000-person business unit, driving several team mergers and transformations, and 3 product launches (DeviceBridge, Data Lakehouse, Voalte Linq). Lastly, Benassi and team launched the Linq voice-activated device (small badge worn on users' scrubs). This product launch was widely covered in the press.
As Senior Director (2022–2023), he restructured a 100+ person, $5B+ US sales organization after the $10B+ Hillrom acquisition and pioneered data-monetization strategies. Earlier roles included integrating part of the Hillrom deal, leading a home-health venture investment, building a business in Western Europe, and driving 60% y/y sales growth in Latin America.
Before Baxter, as an equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs, he covered the largest biopharmaceutical companies and health insurers. His research was cited 5 different times on the front page of the Wall Street Journal.
A Cambridge MBA and USC neuroscience graduate, Benassi sits on Americares’ Leadership Council and teaches as adjunct faculty at USC. He has a wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters.
