Katherine Rosengard, MD, MBA is a Chief Fellow in the Division of Critical Care Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. Prior to medical school, she spent two years at the National Academy of Medicine working with physician leaders to identify and disseminate best clinical practices. She built on these skills in her joint MD/MBA program through Tufts University School of Medicine/Brandeis University, learning how to evaluate operational costs and system efficiencies. She completed her pediatrics residency in the Boston Combined Residency Program (BCH/BMC) and then served as Chief Resident at Boston Children's Hospital prior to joining the Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. She has conducted several qualitative studies looking at practical strategies for improving medical education for resident and fellow trainees. In fellowship, she received a BCH Anesthesia Ignition Award and is also completing the Health Services Research Academy through the Children’s Hospital Association to receive formal training in cost analysis methodologies.
