California
I am a third year internal medicine resident at Saint Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, California, and this community has always been home to me. I was born and raised in Fresno, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be back caring for the people who helped shape who I am. Serving my hometown makes my work deeply meaningful and motivates me every day to become the best physician I can be. During my medical training, I found myself drawn to critical care medicine. I have always been fascinated by the complexity of critically ill patients and the challenge of understanding not just their illness, but who they are as people. The ICU is a place where every moment matters, where teamwork is essential, and where decisions require both careful analysis and compassion. That balance continues to inspire me. My ICU rotations have been some of the most rewarding and formative experiences of residency. They have strengthened my clinical skills and confirmed how much I value caring for patients during the most vulnerable points in their lives. With each patient, I try to bring empathy, curiosity, and thoughtful problem solving to the bedside. As I continue to grow in my training, my goal is to serve my community with excellence and humility. I hope to honor the trust that patients and families place in me and to care for them with the same dedication and respect that this community has always shown me.
