Lama Nazer is the Pharmacy Clinical Affairs Manager at King Hussein Cancer Center in Amman, Jordan and Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, with over 20 years of experience across various healthcare institutions in Jordan and the US. She is also active in clinical research and has authored over 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Her research focus is on critically ill cancer patients, sepsis, and drug therapy.
She has leadership roles in several local and international professional societies, including serving as Vice President and President of the Middle East Critical Care Association. She is also actively involved with the Society of Critical Care Medicine and has been involved with various task forces and committees, including the congress program committee and serving as co-chair for the 2026 congress.
She is an educator with strong passion for capacity building and has led several programs to advance research skills and increase research productivity in low-middle income countries. She leads the Critical Care Research Academy, which is a longitudinal mentor-based research training program that has been conducted in various countries in the Middle East and Africa.
