Roland N. Dickerson, PharmD, BCNSP, FCCP, FASHP, FCCM, FASPEN is a tenured Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy in Memphis, TN. He also serves as Clinical Coordinator and Clinical Pharmacist with the Nutrition Support Service at Regional One Health. His practice and research interests encompass metabolic support of the critically ill patient. He is a board-certified nutrition support pharmacist and has been engaged in clinical practice, education, and research for over 40 years. Dickerson has authored over 190 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 20 book chapters, and 125 scientific abstracts. Forty-five of these journal publications have been incorporated into numerous international and national organizational guidelines and position papers. Dr. Dickerson has given over 250 invited presentations at international, national, and regional professional meetings. He is the recipient of numerous awards including the Jonathan Rhoads Lecture, Excellence in Nutrition Support Education, Stanley Serlick, and Distinguished Nutrition Support Pharmacist Awards from the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Sustained Contributions to the Literature Award from the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, Clinical Practice Award from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, Weaver/Penna Award from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties, John M. Kinney International Award in the category of General Nutrition from the journal Nutrition, Outstanding Alumnus Awards from both his B.S. in pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy alma maters, and Distinguished Service Professor Award from the University of Tennessee Alumni Association.
