Inova Fairfax Hospital
Dr Kasotakis is a Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon and Surgical Intensivist affiliated with the INOVA Fairfax level 1 Trauma Center & the University of Virginia. He completed his general surgery residency at Creighton University. He completed a Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital, and a Research Fellowship at the University of Southern California. He also holds an MPH from Harvard University. He has previously been affiliated with Boston University and Duke University. He holds several regional and national leadership positions at several professional organizations, including EAST, SCCM, CVC-SCCM and AAST, and is an avid researcher with over 100 peer-reviewed publications and 15 textbook chapters. His research interests include ARDS and pulmonary inflammation, as well as evidence-based reviews of topics in Critical Care.
