Short Bio : Saptarshi Biswas MD,FRCSG,FACS, FICS,FCCM,FCCP
Saptarshi Biswas is a trauma, acute care surgeon and surgical intensivist presently based at Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, which is a level 1 ACS verified trauma center in SC. An International graduate from India, he initially trained in General Surgery in Ireland/UK and is a Fellow of the Royal college of Surgeons and Physicians in Glasgow (FRCSG). He is Board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care( Westchester/NYMC) Trauma (Hartford, CT) and Burn and Reconstruction(Johns Hopkins, MD). He is also a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS). He has authored more than 75 peer reviewed publication. His primary research interests include Traumatic Brain Injury, Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Simulation. He is actively involved in General Surgery resident training at Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach and serves as the Program Director for the Surgical Critical Care, Associate Program Director of the General Surgery Residency and Director of Surgical Research and Simulation. He is actively associated in many national and International surgical societies
