Learning From Adverse Events: Applying Human Factors Engineering to Healthcare Simulation Training

This session will discuss the use of human factors engineering principles to design data-driven simulation activities from event report analysis. Speakers, including a human factors scientist and simulation educator, will outline the event reporting to simulation framework that uses the Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) as an input, simulation design as a process, and organizational learning as an output.
