Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
Dr. Thomas Conlon is an Associate Professor and Director of Critical Care Ultrasound at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He helped develop and deliver Critical Care Ultrasound: Pediatric and Neonatal for the Society of Critical Care Medicine and served as Chair for both the course and committee. He continues to co-direct multi-discipline point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) nationally and internationally. He has co-authored multiple manuscripts, chapters, and editorials on pediatric acute care ultrasound and served as co-editor for two books: the Second Edition of Comprehensive Critical Care Ultrasound (Society of Critical Care Medicine) as well as Point-of-Care Ultrasound for the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensivist (Springer). He was co-author of international critical care and neonatal ultrasound guidelines through The European Society of Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care (ESPNIC) and the sole pediatric intensivist within an American Society of Echocardiography workgroup publishing pediatric POCUS recommendations.
