Jonathan Sevransky , M.D., MHS., FCCM is Professor of Medicine , Director, Critical Care for Emory University Hospital and associate division director for critical care in the division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Emory . His research, clinical, mentoring and administrative responsibilities are centered on improving the care of patients with life threatening medical illness. He has been focused on the care of sepsis patients through clinical trials, performance improvement activities and has been a member of then first 5 Surviving Sepsis Campaign Guideline groups. He serves as the editor-inn chief of Critical Care Medicine, and is past chair of the Discovery Research Network of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He was the principle investigator of the VICTAS trial, and co-PI of the PREDICT trial. He also seves as the founding director of the Emory Critical Illness Reearch Center, a collaboration between emergency medicine and critical care .
