Brett Hogan continues to make significant contributions to the field of critical care, serving as a respected representative of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on both academic and national platforms. His active involvement in the APP Workforce Committee and the Physician Assistant Committee through the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) reflects his commitment to advancing the role of APPs in high-acuity care.
He has participated in numerous publications focused on critical care practice and education, and has presented extensively at SCCM conferences. His scholarly contributions include co-authoring a book chapter featured on an SCCM podcast and participating in SCCM roundtable discussions. Brett also serves as a Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS) Instructor, a role he has held for several years.
As a founding Assistant Director of the Critical Care APP Fellowship Program at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Brett has played a pivotal role in shaping advanced practice education. He actively mentors the Medical ICU APP team, fostering professional development and promoting clinical excellence across the care continuum.
