Colonel Tyson John Sjulin, D.O., MC, USA is a board-certified Pulmonary and Critical Care physician, Colonel Sjulin also serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University and as a staff intensivist at Brooke Army Medical Center, where he has advanced simulation-based medical training and readiness for large-scale combat operations. His distinguished service includes multiple deployments as Chief Medical Officer, Flight Surgeon, and DCCS across Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Middle East, where he directed multinational medical teams and implemented innovative approaches to critical care in resource-limited environments.
A graduate of the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Colonel Sjulin has been recognized with the Order of Military Medical Merit (O2M3) and the “9A” Proficiency Designator for professional excellence in military medicine. His career reflects over 100 invited lectures and peer-reviewed publications focused on operational critical care, blood product logistics, and simulation training.
