Dr. Khemani is a Professor of Pediatrics, Clinical Scholar, at the University of Southern California and an Attending Physician in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. His major area of research interest involves pediatric mechanical ventilation, lung injury,and respiratory physiology: translationally and at the bedside. He has led a number of interventional and observational studies in acute respiratory distress syndrome, ventilator weaning and management, and complications from ventilation such as neuromuscular weakness and upper airway obstruction.
