Kirby P. Mayer, DPT, PhD is an Associate Professor in Department of Physical Therapy, College of Health Sciences at the University of Kentucky. Kirby is interested in outcomes for survivors of critical illness and how physical therapists can assess and treat impairments related to Post Intensive Care Syndrome. Kirby is also interested in rehabilitation in the ICU and post-hospital settings, particularly, treatment to improve long-term muscle and physical function outcomes.
