Dr. Abhishek Bhardwaj is a board-certified physician in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine with extensive clinical and academic experience in high-acuity critical care environments. He began his medical education at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India graduating in 2010. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at Drexel University’s Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Philadelphia from 2011 to 2014. From 2014 to 2019, Dr. Bhardwaj served as a Critical Care Hospitalist in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. During this time, he also completed a Resuscitation Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, where his research focused on studying and improving cardiac arrest outcomes. He subsequently pursued a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, where he trained under leaders in the field and contributed to several research and quality improvement initiatives. He has several mauscipts in prestigious journals and was also recognised for his teaching skills during fellowship. He is the host for the CHEST Humanities Podcast and also the Podcast Host for Vital Capacity.
