Kevin Amir Ghaffari, MD, MS, is a first-year critical care medicine fellow at Stanford University. He was born in Hampton, VA, and received a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. He earned a master's degree in biology and earned his medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)/Medical College of Virginia (MCV). He subsequently completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY, where he served as chief resident.
Special interests in research within the ICU include precision medicine and leveraging machine learning/AI to optimize care for the critically ill.
