Alison Baker Nair, MD, is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Critical Care, at the University of California, San Francisco. Her research focuses on platelet-endothelial interactions and endothelial dysfunction in trauma and critical illness. In addition, she is interested in how pathophysiologic alterations in the vascular system may be mitigated by transfusion and other cellular therapies. Her goal is to develop pediatric-specific diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to hemostatic and endothelial dysfunction in critically ill children.
