Mirra Said, MD is a 3rd year Pediatric Chief Resident at the Children's Hospital of New Hersey wuth Rutgers Health - Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. She looks forward to beginning her Pediatric Critical Care fellowship in the summer and hopes to supplement that with CVICU training. In addition to critical care, Mirra has an interest in Palliative Care and social determinants of health, and is heavily involved in numerous quality improvement projects to improve patient safety and experience, as well as work flow dynamics for her peers. Not only does she advocate for the wellbeing of her patients, but she also leads the Wellness Committee for the Pediatric residents - planning social events that incorporate fun and wellbeing practices. She balances her clinical work with dedication to physical exercise, cooking new and healthy meals, attending theater and comedy shows; and spending time with her husband Justin and pet parrot Chicken.
