Diane Yuan Wang, MD is a second year Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellow at the University of Maryland. After completing medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, she completed a combined five year Emergency/Internal Medicine Residency at ChristianaCare Health System in Delaware where she also served as Chief Resident.
She is passionate about medical education and currently serves as one of two selected Medical Education Fellows from her fellowship program. Under this role, she plays an active role in teaching undergraduate medical students and residents pulmonary physiology and various pulmonary and critical care topics.
She has a special interest in obstetric critical care. During her residency, she established a rapid response curriculum for obstetric patients and published her findings in ATS Scholar. Her active research project focuses on mechanical ventilation management of obstetric patients with ARDS. Additionally, she is active in medical education simulation and is creating an obstetric respiratory failure simulation for critical care fellows.
