Roberta Garberi, MD, is a Resident Physician in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy, and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Iowa. Her research focuses on acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), integrating both clinical and preclinical approaches to investigate mechanisms of lung injury and to explore novel therapeutic strategies.
