Lauren A. Igneri, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP, FCCM
Lauren Igneri is the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Critical Care at Cooper University Healthcare (CUH) in Camden, NJ. Lauren earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University. She went on to complete a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania followed by a PGY2 Critical Care Specialty Residency at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia with her main practice site at CUH. Following residency, Lauren was the Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at St. Mary Medical Center (SMMC) in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
Since returning to CUH, Lauren continues to be involved in numerous multidisciplinary committees to improve the care of critically ill patients. She serves as a primary preceptor for the critical care residents’ rotation, research, and continuing education experiences. Lauren has been the primary or co-investigator on numerous research investigations throughout her career including anticoagulation, anticoagulation reversal, thrombolysis in venous thromboembolism, glycemic control, pharmacokinetics, and sedation practices in critically ill patients, among others. She has been invited to present regularly at local, regional, and national meetings. Lauren serves as a peer-reviewer for several pharmacy and critical care journals.
Lauren is an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and contributes regularly within the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Communications Committee. She has been Member-at-Large of the SCCM Women in Critical Care Knowledge Education Group since 2019. In 2023, Lauren was inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Critical Care Medicine. Additionally, she is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and American College of Clinical Pharmacy and has served as faculty for ASHP’s board certification resources since 2016.
