Dr. Majdi Hamarshi, MD, FCCM, is an associate professor of critical care medicine with over 13 years of clinical experience. He serves as Program Director for the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC).
He completed fellowships in Critical Care Medicine at UMKC and Geriatric Medicine at Northwestern University, following his internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. A recognized leader in tele-critical care, Dr. Hamarshi has chaired national committees within the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). His academic contributions include over 50 peer-reviewed publications, research collaborations in international registries, and invited lectures at major critical care congresses. Dr. Hamarshi has received multiple honors, including the SCCM Presidential Citation Award (2025). His work reflects a commitment to advancing critical care delivery, physician leadership, and global health equity.
