Laurence Busse, M.D., MBA, FCCM is a Distinguished Physician an Associate Professor of Medicine within the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy and Sleep Medicine at Emory University. He is boarded in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Since 2018, Dr. Busse has served as the Medical Director of Critical Care at Emory Johns Creek Hospital and the Site Director of the Emory Critical Care Center (ECCC) for Johns Creek. Dr. Busse leads the Satellite Trials Group of Emory (STaGE), a multi-site distributed clinical trials platform that brings together investigators from multiple Emory locations in the execution of translational research. Dr. Busse’s research focuses on sepsis and septic shock, and the role that novel therapeutics and theragnostics play in disease management. Dr. Busse is a recipient of the Emory Critical Care Center’s Timothy G. Buchman Award in Transformational Leadership. He is a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine.
