Dr. Tina Palmieri MD, FACS, FABA, MCCM is Professor, Burn Center Director, and Burn Division Chief at UC Davis and Chief of Burns at Shriners Children's Northern California. She trained at Northwestern University (medicine), the University of Iowa (surgery), and the University of Missouri (critical care/burns) prior to military service at Keesler AFB. As Past President of the American Burn Association she spearheaded burn critical care, disaster preparedness and collaborative burn treatment. She has led multicenter randomized trials in blood transfusion and wound care, and is the Director of the UC Davis Burn Data Coordinating Center. She has >200 publications and provides critical care for burn and major skin sloughing diseases for both adults and children.
