Dr. Bram Rochwerg (Associate Professor) is an intensivist and researcher based at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. His main focus of research includes intravenous fluid use in sepsis and the role of corticosteroids in acute hypoxemic respiratory failure. He has gained expertise in meta-analysis, network meta-analysis and conduct of randomized controlled trials. His other area of focus is clinical practice guideline methodology and he currently works with many international organizations supporting their guideline development projects. He leads the Internal Medicine Section at the Society of Critical Care Medicine, is vice-chair for the Canadian Critical Care Trials Group, co-vice-chair for the Surviving Sepsis Campaign Guidelines and is an Associate Editor at Critical Care Medicine.
