Dr. Pooja Amar Nawathe is a Professor of Pediatrics, Cardiology, and Biomedical Sciences at Cedars Sinai Health Sciences University, Assistant Director of Healthcare Simulation, Gueirn Children’s, Associate Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care unit, and Medical Director of Simulation for Pediatrics at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Nawathe has received numerous awards, such as the Presidential Citation for Outstanding Contributions to SCCM, the Faculty Honor Roll at Cedars-Sinai, and the SSH Service Award as Pediatrics Section Chair. She is a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine and a Fellow of the Academy of the Society of Simulation in Healthcare with advanced simulation certifications. Her research focuses on interprofessional education, simulation as QI methodology, and human factors and ergonomics in critical care medicine. Dr. Nawathe is the immediate Past President of the Southern California Chapter of SCCM, which won the Chapter Alliance Award at SCCM Congress 2025.
