Shawn Reynolds is a Physician Assistant and Co-Assistant Director of Washington University’s Anesthesia Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) group in St. Louis, Missouri. He also serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army National Guard, where he is Missouri’s Deputy Commander of Clinical Services. His dual civilian and military careers reflect his commitment to advancing patient care, leadership, and organizational excellence.
With a professional background spanning clinical medicine, leadership strategy, and organizational management, Shawn’s interests include executive coaching, trauma and procedural education, POCUS training, process improvement, employee retention, and recognition initiatives. His approach blends frontline experience with a strategic vision, emphasizing both high-quality patient care and sustainable team growth.
Shawn holds a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and Exercise Science. He is currently completing his Doctorate in Strategic Leadership at Liberty University’s School of Business, where his research explores interventions to strengthen communication and teamwork in intensive care settings. Dedicated to both his profession and his community, Shawn values developing leaders at every level and fostering cultures of accountability, resilience, and innovation. His work bridges clinical expertise with leadership development, preparing organizations and individuals to thrive in complex and high-stakes environments.
Outside of his professional roles, Shawn lives in St. Louis with his wife, Jamie, their two daughters, Hailey and Logan, and their German Shepherd, Gunner. He draws strength from family and faith, and he remains passionate about service, mentorship, and equipping the next generation of healthcare leaders.
